first I got a metal folding chair-then I put chicken wire and hardware cloth on it to shape the chameleon-then I used a technique with strips of burlap dipped in thin set mortar-then applied like paper mache-now I am putting stained glass peices on it to be covered in grout---he is actually pretty lightweight considering everything-probably about 60 lbs. Hope this was helpful and informative.
I am now working on a chameleon bench made out of ferrocement then covered in mosaic stained glass-a fun project.
