Lynne Browne and Terry Melius did not set out to become underwater photographers. While on a fishing trip to Walker’s Cay in the Bahamas Lynne introduced Terry to snorkeling. Once in the water, Terry was hooked and the couple spent several years snorkeling while on vacation and enjoying the underwater photography of others. Their early attempts at underwater photography were not very successful as they quickly learned of the difficulties of working in an environment where everything is moving (water, sea life and themselves) and the vibrant colors were masked by the ocean itself.

Determined to overcome these difficulties and prove that stunning photographs could be captured without the benefit of scuba gear, they persevered. Many snorkeling trips later and with much help from their mentor, Eliot Cohen , Lynne and Terry reached their goal of capturing and printing beautiful images from the underwater world that they love. They formed HSWT Photography in order to share their fine art photography with others.
