Winter's Opening Play

There are two Crystal Lakes, this is the first one....the smaller of the two. This was taken late Oct., 2005 before the Hwy was closed for the season. The 3.5 mile hike is ALL uphill and by the time we reached the 1st lake we were tired and hungry. Didn't make it to the 2nd lake. We did have the presence of mind to pack the snowshoes, even tho there was no snow at the trailhead. The gray jays were there in force to share our lunch.... :-))Thank you for visiting and I'd like to wish everyone in the states a Happy Thanksgiving!! To all my AW friends around the world, I am truly thankful to have you part of my life!! You are bright lights in a jumbled world of man's doing. Nature is our blessing and our escape from stressful things. Just breathe...... :-))
