There is something intriguing about the use of symmetry in this work. It has a religious quality about it. The symbolism is open-ended, allowing the viewer to use their imagination.
Artist Reply: thanks for visiting David, u got it right, it has a religious angle to it, but have concealed it, it is from Hinduism, ....
Wonderful image with a very potent symbolism, but I must confess that some of the finer points of meaning eludes me (at least in the present), but this is easily made irrelevant as the subtle qualities of the painting conveys enough "food for thought" even if I canĀ“t decipher everything about the symbolism! This is one painting to return to and continue pondering over again and again. May I also add that on a technical level this image is pretty flawless and I do like the luminosity of the whole surface. Also; I like the Graeco-Roman elements in your style of painting! To sum it up: Great work!
Artist Reply: Many many thanks for your appreciation u have seen the essence of it............
wonderfully done artwork, you must be very proud of this piece!
Artist Reply: Thanks Ruth, love this work this is how we all are, something from outside something from inside, duality of human personality, the theme rests in the Indian mythology and the colors are from mughal indian jewellery, and armoury, .... with a classical influence to hide it all ....
This is no ordinary portrait, but a riddle of sacred symbols for a Soul. People who have knowledge of Eastern religions and thought will understand it. I hope whoever buys this realizes what it is.
Artist Reply: Dear Janelle, very well said, you know exactly what it is, I wrapped this idea in this form as otherwise it would have attracted undue attention from the extremists, it is definitely the same what you understand. Again many thanks for commenting, greatly appreciated.....
