This is a street in Louviers, France. It used to be a cloth making and dyeing center in the Middle Ages. Many of the buildings were made with colombage (brick between timbers). Most of those buildings were destroyed during the terrible conflict following the D-Day invasion. This little street survived intact. We were in Normandy attending our son's marriage to his French girlfriend.
