A "Hallberg-Rassy" yacht crosses a Swedish archipelago under the close escort of a flock of seagulls The summer days are long in Sweden and a national passion is to spend the holidays in the archipelago along the coast. It may be that a younger generation chooses the noise and vibration of motorboats, however, there is still a large following for the classic sailboats, those that allow you to glide quietly, experiencing nature and its wildlife, without disturbing it. Seagulls are perhaps not the most romantic of birds, but their ubiquitous presence means that they cannot be ignored and certainly in this painting, they appear to fly right out of the page at you.
