I always manage to see the shell, never the actual cicada but sure do hear them a lot! Thanks for letting me know what they look like. Great photography!

Artist Reply: Thank you Ginger. I found my first one crawling on the ground & followed him, watched him climb up a limb & shed his shell. It was amazing! I've only caught two doing this! You're welcome & Thanks!

excellent capture; I have yet to catch them together!

Artist Reply: The trick is to find it while it's still in the shell & stalk it. It will climb & attach itself to a tree, bush, or screen & then keep an eye on it until it comes out of the shell. Might take a while so be patient! Thanks for comment!
