Grasmere Island,Grasmere

When Wordsworth wanted solitude he often rowed out to the single island on the lake of Grasmere ,it was here in 1800 he composed the poem [[written with a pencil upon a stone in the wall of the house [ an outhouse ]] The painting captures the mist envoloping the hills and creating beautiful subdued reflections on the water ,painted in acrylics ,16x8 inches ,unframed. ,
