Chateau de Fontainebleau

A little painting of the Chateau de Fontainebleau I did on my knee the other day en plein air. (that's why it looks a bit wobbly! LOL!!) Acrylics on paper 12 X 16

Done on your knees...I think it is brilliantly UNwobbly! I always love your work Rusty. Only one thing are there two suns shining to make the tree shadows?!

Artist Reply: Hello Anne! Lovely to hear from you! Yes, I think you're right but this is not a realist painting. It's more naive symbolism. Have a great weekend!
Artist Reply: Oh and I forgot to mention that the position of the sun that mid morning was high and directly overhead which produced the shadows loosley on both sides but not quite defined as I've done them. You got me thinking there!! LOL!!!
