Twelve red-eared slider turtles sunning on a log in the marshes at Hagerman Refuge in Grayson County, Texas. There were six others nearby.

I went one time into a large swamp a few miles north helping my brother-in -law hunt snapping turtles. We had well over a dozen each by the time we were done. It was something that I do not care to do again but it made good research for my painting " Swampers " which my brother-in-law owns.
