Taken in Peak National Park, UK. Copyright of Stephen Plant. tjames Z guessed wrong, it was taken about 10.30am last October, (2003). The shadows look short because they are running towards the top right corner of the image.

My guess this was taken around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. The ground isn't flat obviously but the shadows are still to short to show that.

Artist Reply: You guessed wrong - it was about 10.30am in October, it's just the angle of the sun in relation to the walls etc., that cause the shadows to be short.
