Those of us who didn't make it

I could tell you a story and interpretation for this painting, but I would like to here yours. My husband told me a very unusual one, that's where the title came from.

Great title and surreal image. It defies an easy explanation. I can see it stimulating much thought and debate. To be alive is to defy the odds in the first place.

if you don't make it the first time...sooner or later it will happen, all things recycle naturally until they become the flower, the wind, the light, the rain, the seed reborn again., the children of the earth , death and life birth...lovely work...excellent thought provoking image and wonderous dtails.

I love this image. I had lots of dreams about embryos, frog spawn, eggs, etc back along and a message in my dreams that something was going to happen in a years time from those dreams. When the year had past I had a major revelation and realised my unconscious was real and intuition was real. At that moment I felt two halves of my personality coming together. I realised I had been totally conditioned by culture and had always moaned about it, or my unconscious was. Anyway, could go on forever, but will stop. Great paintings and I will be visiting your gallery frequently.

Artist Reply: I don't know whether there is a prophesy in my visions, but I wish I could read it as you did your dreams if there is any. Thank you for your comments Mark.

While most lie in the ground, scattered potential fallen to unnurturing soil - wait, deep, dark, but never realise - some grow collossal against the harsh landscape of existence. 'Reach out', i heard cried, gather up as many as you can, because the air grows ever drier and love can scarse take hold; some believe - do good, do harm, but don't do nothing...

Artist Reply: Beautiful thoughts Herman, your explanation is the best I've heard about this piece. Surreal, just what it needs.

very thoughtful painting Alexandra... what i feel or see, is that there are many depending on a resorceful 'one' and that one shares whats needed but not to over indulge and allow things to grow as nature intended... it could apply to knowledge and wisdome as well... i love this , wonderful background as well...
