These are serious works! This suggests somehow that there are places where people go to prey on each other for whatever they can get......dollar bills, Rolex watch, a relationship......... Brilliant artwork!

You sum it up all very nicely. This whole series of 5 x 5's is great. They are almost studies for larger works. As for your commentary, fear is the motive for the overwhelming search for money. It borders on evil and always makes the subject ugly, no matter what their physical attributes. The world is, indeed, a disturbing place.
