Artist Reply: Maybe they have chosen such a color so that the horses are quite visible. There are many tourists in the streets of Colmar who look upwards and don't pay attention to the traffic !

Wow!! Nice site to see Usually the horses ear muffs are of Black or brown colour & you don't notice the muffs, yes horses ears are very sensitive to loud Sound , these ones are really Colourful, so you don't forget to take them off when you put them in the Stall, Beautiful Nostalgic Town, full of very Olde History
