Snow Clouds over Polychrome Pass

Polychrome pass gets the name from the hills beautiful coloration from mineral deposits. The two hills on the right that are not covered in snow show off some of this coloration. If the mountains in the foreground were not covered in snow you would see this coloration throughout the hills in this section of Denali Park , Alaska. A close up of this image gives a better look at the colors of the Polychrome hills. This was optimized for my monitor so the reds could look slightly darker or lighter depending on how your monitor is set.
