Ian Somerhalder is an American actor, former male fashion model and producer. His first major role was in The Rules of Attraction. He was a main cast member for the first season of the American television series Lost as the character Boone Carlyle. His television work also includes appearances in shows such as Smallville, CSI: Miami, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Now and Again, and The Big Easy, as well as producing Recess. He starred as Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries starting in 2009. He is now starring as Dr. Luther Swann in the Netflix series, V-Wars which will air in 2019.
