36x48" “The Missing” What happens when paradoxical human nature starts to rewrite not only history, but the environment? We began redacting our stories, our history, our involvement, and our responsibility many years ago. Now, a sanitized version remains. We are far from exempt from the ecological and didactic consequences of our actions. Our omnipresence has caused trespass. This body of work is about acknowledging the small missing things from our environment and the impact humanity has had on a perfect natural cycle. These speak to the negative signals of our control and are a call to action to become stewards instead of destructors.
