Standing as we do on this apparently flat (though it isn't) planet, we don't think much about our trip around the sun each year. We just see the months fall off our calendars and some environmental changes. Actually, it's moving at a rather fast clip--- approximately 67,000 miles an hour or 18.5 miles per second. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on heavy bond acid-free paper and another candid example of Original Jones Art, emanating from northwest Austin, Texas.

So I guess we have to enjoy life as best we can as we hurtle thru space . Thank goodness my pencils stay on the desk among other things. Nicely drawn Charles and the colors pop : )

Artist Reply: If we stopped to think how insignificant we are in the vastness of the universe, maybe we wouldn't build such tall high-horses for ourselves. As usual, I'm probably just preaching to the choir---and they can't hear me for singing. Thanks, Dave! :)
