When everyone is slightly miserable, doesn't that make it the new normal? This is a 6 by 3.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art remembers a Bruce Cockburn song called 'The Trouble With Normal' which he probably needs to listen to again in northwest Austin, Texas.

Hello Charles: Profound observations elude me at the moment. My only comment is you have a great sense of color here as always. Best Wishes

Artist Reply: Well, not everyone has my gift (curse?) for gab, John. Thanks. Hope things are flowing for you today. :)

That reminds me of Woody Allen's quote in Annie Hall where he said (paraphrasing) that life is divided into 2 categories, the horrible and the miserable. The horrible is people that have diseases or blind, etc and everyone else is miserable. So be thankful you're miserable because that's very lucky to be miserable . Nice rendering for slightly miserable , Charles : ) You have good colors with your pencil set.

Artist Reply: I used to be an Allen fan before he became persona non grata. Or your average social pariah. Now I'm just a closet Woody fan. Nah, not really. I, for one, know we all live in glass houses these days. When the majority goes one direction, I usually take the other---much less crowded, Dave. When I do, I'm usually just a bit LESS miserable. Hope all is going well. :)
