Maybe when she speeds up, I can determine what word with the round vowel she's attempting to get out. You get most of the effect of woodcut without the intensive labor which should not shame or embarrass the artist, at all. Uh, hope all is going great up there to the north, Dave.
Artist Reply: Not ashamed or embarrassed , Charles . This is more like a chalkboard drawing, or reverse scratchboard. I have done lino cuts and woodcuts also . They're not as easy or forgiving but still i'd like to do more of those when I am able : )
Happy autumnal equinox !
Most expressive portrait, Dave! In your particular style! It's interesting that your pencil drawing reminds me of your wooden carvings. The question arises: what came first in the beginning? Wishing you a most productive week ahead! Mine has already started.
Artist Reply: Thanks, Nikolay : ) Not sure which came first , probably drawing... though I do remember playing with clay a lot when I was a youngster.
Hope your week is a good one, Happy Autumn !
