BUT when I researched, I found 'narrowband' also refers to social-emotional assessment in our schools. Popular narrowband scales for school use include those assessing anxiety and depression as well as those assessing autism and ADHD. When I went to school, they didn't really concern themselves with what amounts to the psychological evaluation of each student. Discipline was meted out democratically with some variation for what then amounted to two genders only. How silly and shortsighted we were. But I think this is very telling for our current youth as they wade through a world wherein they are told UP is DOWN so often they begin to doubt their own judgement and sanity.
