Is it just me, or is it getting increasingly difficult to make eye contact with folks these days? They pass you looking deeply into their phones or at some distant point just over the horizon. Or they make a point to cross the street to avoid the embarrassment of possible interaction. I could be wrong, but it's quite possible that we're losing what it means to be human social creatures. This is a 5 by 3 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art has lived long enough to notice a thing or two here in northwest Austin, Texas.

I do believe you are so right. !!

Artist Reply: I just think making eye contact creates a small connection between us humans and we can choose to strengthen that connection or not, but it's a necessary first step. Hope all is going great with Joanie today. :)

Yes I see that a lot. Charles. On my morning walks , I always say good morning to people. Most respond, though some don't. However outside the neighborhood, people are largely to themselves . Nicely colored , has a vintage appeal to it : )

Artist Reply: I think it depends on the age of the folks I come in contact with. Being at home most days, I only walk to the communal mailboxes or over to a neighbor's house. Anyway, we live in strange times. Uh, maybe they've all been strange? Good talking with you today, Dave. :)
