the Roundhouse..circa..1873..

the Roundhouse ,on put in bay ,ohio, first opened its doors in june 1873, as the columbia restaurant. in 1950 the McCann family bought it and painted it, its now famous red...always a center of attraction to this day, this is my rendition of how it might have looked on a starry sat. night in 1873... i took an originial photo , put into photo shop, painted, filtered, added a few pieces of other original photos, put into ulead, adjusted hues, added stars...

I see that the place provides a lot of inspiration. Nice romantic qualities to the series.

I don't know the place, but this work has a life all of it's own. You are an astonishing find! Well done.

I know this building! I have spent many days at Put in Bay. What a great little island. Your painting has reproduced the Round House perfectly. It's like stepping back in time. Great job

Okay, how did I miss this one! Your time pieces are so charming; they really pull me right in, as if I was there. Like a mental vacation! Great color, composition...and the mood you created is very captivating!

Did U See..." Somewhere in Time" Christopher Reeves n Jane Seymour around 1983? this reminds me of that great movie. wish I could crawl into this picture, it looks like a grand place to be! Such a soft n inviting mood. Colors r perfect n sweet like night should be! I think I hear laughter of a young girl n the tinkling of an icecream truck n a little pet Monkey chatter by the way side pickin up peanuts a gentleman tossed to him, as laughter rises n falls music echoed from the stars. Perfect night U have created. I want to be there. tu 4 your comments on my work. U touch the soul Eileen! CB
