This Street Opera is a temporary site, hastily erected stage and run for two or three days and nights. The sites were usually in a temple forecourt,a carpark, a vacant land or a narrow street. The stage were decorated with vertical columns of Chinese calligraphy identifying the troupe. These performances are free, they do not collect money from the audiences but paid by those who hired them, mainly the temple, clan associations or community groups.
