Portrait of Sebastian

First of my pencil submissions. Many to follow. Recent drawing (18"X24") using 2B and 2H pencils of a portrait of Sebastian. I wanted to create a dynamic abstract interpretation showing the basic features and creating illusions and repitition within the overall lines and curves. The face in the middle is visible through the two eyes, the nose area that i gave more depth to break up the flatness of the facial area, and the lips. This was a sketch for some ideas i have for paintings in the near future. The hair become leaf like shapes and the eyeballs also float around the composition at the bottom amidst these shape constructions. Copyright 2005 by Imaginative Pencil and myself. Thanks for fulfilling the request. What was it like yesterday I said something about black and white? I like this I was curious to see how you would make your point with two colors and all the grey in-between. Nice ;)
