The Photosynthesis of a Strategic Thought

In this pencil work i wanted to represent chess as the growth of plants which our the pieces from the mind which is the chess board. I symbolize this becuase of the bridge between the fundamental laws of chess and science and biology. The link between the underlying foundations of the game and life itself inspired this symbolism of photosynthesis and the game. Below is the face of person whos head becomes the board from whihc the pieces grow upward into the sky. Within this garden of plant growth i place birds, surreal objects, and even ants crawl around. Stunning work, as usual, Justin. Your colours seem much paler....is this by design or an upload problem?

Artist Reply: Hi Susan (: I think it may be the upload...my colors look richer before i upload them? Thanks for your comments.
