Stone Hubism

Hubisms are made with a technique developed by Hubert Schaefer of Germany. This one was made in Bryce. © Pat Goltz. Thank you for the comments! I greatly appreciate them.

I can't help but see an angel or some other winged humanoid form in this. But it's as though it is under water. Really trippy...

Fantastic! How can I learn this? shirley miers

Artist Reply: Shirley, this is done in Bryce. You will need a copy of the program. Then you will need a particular material to use as the surface on some of the basic shapes. After that, it's experience and a lot of twiddling. There's no rule you follow as such, but it is a technique involved putting shapes inside a reflective sphere with lights. You can email me for more information if you like.
