Lorain in Winter

This Lake Erie lighthouse at Lorain, Ohio was built in 1917 by the Army Corps of Engineers . It has concrete walls ten inches thick and a light that could be seen for 15 miles. The station was decommissioned in 1965 and slated to be demolished but a group of Lorain citizens band together to raise the funds needed to save her.
