I also write sometimes drawing the characters helps in visualizing their actions and words, expressions; they become very real to me this way. This character (for a sci-fi story) evolved through a few sketches. I tried to show the character's kindness, yet deep pain and determination which drive him forward. Graphite, 8.5 x 11; 2002.
