Any visit to the mountains means getting up at least half an hour before sunrise, sometimes earlier. Such was the case when I camped for one night in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, way back in 1993. Here, the morning twilight was beginning to show through the clouds. Another photograph of alpine glow on a mountain peak in this gallery is from the same morning. The film is the old Fujichrome 50, which is more grainy than Velvia. Minolta Maxxum 7000, 50mm lens, no filter, no colour manipulation. Copyright Peter Skov.
