View from Hunters Trail, Picacho Peak

Hunters Trail is a rather steep trail that climbs to the top of Picacho Peak. It is a difficult climb, and when I made it to the saddle, I decided not to go on, because the way went downhill, and there were cables to hang onto, and I figured that if I climbed to the top, there was no way I would be willing to go UPHILL on the way down. Besides, it was late. The gold in the foreground is a field of Mexican or California poppies, for which Picacho Peak is famous. In the further distance is I-10 and a train. Picacho Peak is the westernmost site of a battle of the Civil War. © Pat Goltz Thank you for your comments. I greatly appreciate them!
