Brittlebush at Picacho Peak

Brittlebush are so called because the branches snap off cleanly and easily. Their yellow flowers can produce fields of bunchy color. They are a perennial that dies back when it's dry. Picacho Peak is about 40 miles north of Tucson, Arizona. It is the site of the westernmost battle of the Civil War. © Pat Goltz Thank you for your comments. I greatly appreciate them!
