I really love the effect you captured here of the mist and fog and snow, with the background fading away. I only wish I could see a detail of the wolf's face, he looks so intent and watchful. Can you post a detail?

John, My God, are you talented. It is as if God poured a vat of artistic oil over your head, annointing you with profound insight, spiritual awareness, and soulful inspiration. Fantastic, and moving. Linda Mason

Gorgeous John! I love the way the trees are nearly ghostly shapes in the background.

He looks like he wants to come in and share the xmas dinner! His stare is mesmerising and so intense. Well done, John.

Artist Reply: this time, I wanted to do something with less color...to capture the real feel of the cold and snowy dusk and the snowfall. I only hope I did the scene justice.

Beautiful composition! Feels almost mythical.

Artist Reply: thanks Geri.... mythical is a good word, I will take that as a compliment and send you many good thoughts today for a vibrant New Year.

How beautiful,John. I love the oriental shapes of the trees. Is this your Christmas card? Should be.......

Artist Reply: thanks julie, actually we are sending out funny digital cards this year featuring a little slide show of our baby girl. She brings a smile to everyone's face....

John Very good composition but I feel I great sense of loneliness. Such a warm animal in the cold at christmas time, as not a happy motif for me. regards John

Artist Reply: well we offered him some fish and chips at our fire, but he prefered to watch us from a distance. I think he was wearing his winter coat... so not to worry.
Artist Reply: well, sorry it makes you sad John. Cant win em all.
