visiting the Tate Modern I took a photo of this labyrinth of Rachel Whiteread.(and in the center of this work my son -in the long coat- is walking around..)
Just doing my "homework" I find this amazing shot. It's a kinda science-fiction scene:-) After 40 years in art perhaps I'll need all these boxes to save my works:-)
Artist Reply: yes Armando, would be perfect, these boxes...just visited your site and saw the place you are working, so clean and ordered...it is making me jealous, my studio is a mess. Once I will show it maybe, but up to now I don't dare..
I found this shot in the additional image....I konw that you upload some times ago, but I wanted to tell you that it is so beautiful, particular..... great work!!!! well done!
Installations are such fun. It looks like modern society, so cold and unfeeling, where lost souls wander around. Everyone seems disoriented and disconnected, also like are modern world. We all need warmth and color, but do we find it? And if so, where? Artists try to provide some, even if it is sometimes disturbing.
were you spying on your son?? looks like those photos form the movies wher eyou photograph your subject doing all kinds of things ... I LOVE IT ... great spy work
sometimes I thought , how big would be the sugar (mount) , what I have eaten in my life . maybe like the sugar cubes here of Rachel Whiteread . :o)) Thanks for showing it Nelly .
Lovely work Nelly I think the guy in white acts as a punctum, his aspect suggests he's leaving to restore harmony. I know this gallery really well and also its light, technically this is an accomplished shot, its soooo hard to photgraph white yet you have so many tones in the cubes, its brill i love it!
Dear Nelly
I would have preferred just a closer shot of your son. I must apologise, but a lot of the hype surrounding Rachel Whiteread is like the story of the Emperor's New Clothes.
regards John
I thought it was a storage facility for boxes or syrofoam igloo ice chests...What passes for art now is amazihng..next thing you know people will be painting on telephone book yellow pages and newspapers and even on TV sets and mannequins and other such trashy stuff...When will it ever end???LOL...Really, this is a great shot Nelly!
This is a work of art!? How interesting! Great shot! would make an cool painting! So mod! I have never heard of this museum. thanks for the comment on my latest. Glad you had a great time. Love CB
