Dolly the Queen of Country!

Dolly the, Queen of Country Nature arrives in color therefore black and white pictures have there own place different from what we see daily. Theres been four thousand years of black and white pen drawings or record keepings. Society was and still is governed by the signature of a pen throughout history. Ballpoints have used oil-based inks from 1888 and are the only pen systems that do. Today, ISO or DIN archival ballpoint pen inks are on the marketplace. Brilliant dark colors have never been seen before until a ballpoint surfaced within the Pen and Ink art world! Brilliant inks just never came along till a ballpoint pen arrived. Brilliant colors, long flowing lines and half tone lines are what the Ball Point Pen Art movement brings to the worlds attention. Our world arrives in full color therefore drawing with many different colors is fun, productive and natural to a creative person. I always thought weak colored pen and ink colors damaged the mediums potential. Strong bright colors other art medium offered to the public for a long time. Well today bright colors are available with a ballpoint pen if putting in the time to produce such is in order? Im a colorist form the coloring book days of my life. Fifty years of observations and pictures have cheered me up and pleased others along the way therefore it works for me. Let the brightly colored ink flow!

As usual, your work has photographic detail and realism. I can't figure out how you could use colored ink to create something so smooth and "paint-like." Amazing work!

The blue and green hair makes this pleasant portrait. I can tell you are not afraid to use unconventional colors to depict real people. The hair almost looks vegetative, a nice touch for such a volumptuous subject.

Wonderful work Jerry!!!!!!! Gorgeous colors!!!!!

Artist Reply: Thank You, Analua.

Andrey Feldshteyn 02 Feb 2006

Life is a funny thing! You can see it in this beautiful smile! Sorry, I have some doubts about the frame style.

Artist Reply: Andrey, thanks for your support and comments. Ive lived in forty different cities or towns and noticed along the way most museums and top end galleries frame things in gold. Gold works well with all colors or seems rather universal as a frame color. I also like the way gold works with all other colors. I like black frames as well, Andrey.
