THis is shy Olivia, a beautiful young Native American girl. She enjoyed learning art lessons from me and making gifts for her friends. She loved to share information about her heritage with me, and I as well with my N.A. heritage. I used reference photos to look at as I painted her. I used my wacom tablet and stylus pen to paint her. Using layers of airbrush, blending pastels into the airbrush to smooth out areas, I am able to get a nice mixed media with a smooth look. Not a manipulated photo, it was all done one stroke at a time by hand.

This child portrait series is just so enchanting, Terry. You use colors so well to make the portrait attractive and always present the child with such a charming pose. You're a master at this!!!!!!Nelly van Nieuwenhuijzen 06 Apr 2006
