About 2 wks. before our hike down to the glacier face, (Ice Statue photo), we were 2000 ft. above looking down at the moraine. This Emmons Vista hike originates from Sunrise Visitors Center... the source of many wonderful trails. The only problem is that it is only accessable between mid-June to mid-October...if you are lucky. It is always a day of celebration when we are allowed back in after a long winter. We try to hit opening day.
