(c) 1986 Elton Houck..
"Soldier watches as flag is placed on his casket"

This work was done on a common newpaper page. ...It is from the year 1986, and is an abstract portrait titled "Soldier watches as flag is placed on his casket" Painted over a newspaper page with felt marker, acrylic gel medium, and fixative . This art work measures 8.75" X 6.5" and is mounted on 8" X 10" Bristol vellum. It is sealed with acrylic gel medium.

The scene is from the hero's view, the hero whose ceremony is his last. He sees the feet of those mourners and loved ones gathered around their fallen friend...and overhead he watches as the flag of his country is draped over his casket.
