Millennial Omen

At the confluence of a thousand-year cycle, air, earth, fire, and water all merge; we stand poised and breathless--contemplating edges, awaiting new patterns.... © 1999, Michael Cook

Andrew Hunter 24 Apr 2007

michael it must be wonderful to do paintings/pictures like these in pastel for which i have to say excellent work

Artist Reply: Thank you, Andrew. I'm glad you liked this/these. Yes, pastel is a wonderful medium, so full of richness--and delicacy, too.

I am not usually drawn to landscapes/seascapes but your use of light in this piece is absoulutely compelling! Great job.

Artist Reply: Thanks for visiting and for your comments, Arlene. I think the allure here is also due to the composition. I hope this will increase your appreciation of landscapes!
