Over grown old house

THis is a photo I was sent by my houband as a gift. He sends me photos for my reference photo stock so I have plenty of photos to create paintings from. Lately, he's been taking wonderful photos of interest that I am sharing with you. This one is from Illinois/Missouri border. It drew his eye because of the vegetaion growing out of the old building. He knows how interesting I find scenes like this. His photos are all posted with his permission.

Love these old houses . would love to renovate it!

Artist Reply: Thanks Virginia, I love them if they were cleaned up first- allergies. I would love to be able to renovate an old farmhouse, but don't have the health to do it. I can love seeing old homes and watch someone else have the fun doing it.

Great capture, if only it could tell the story of it's life! Laurie :)

Artist Reply: Thanks Laurie! I think part of the charm of these is what it leads your imagination to create.

cool old building it looks like a house not a barn though

Artist Reply: Thanks Corry, THis one is a house, others I post will be of barns. I have seen a few old places that connected the barn to the house. No something I would want to have lived that close to, butconvient for the farmer that had no sens of smell. LOL! I get used too the smell of manure in the fields so fast, I barely notice it .

terry i always like seeing old barns aand houses....this is so cool...

Artist Reply: Thank you Bianca! Over the summer I will be back East visiting family. I will be out taking photos of old homes, barns, and some covered bridges to name a few places. I finally have time to go take my time, no little kids to keep an eye on. I know locations of some awesome places from when I lived out there, so can hardly wait until next month to go.

Artist Reply: Thank you Loredana! Some would past by places like this and turn their nose up. I would have to stop to look to get photos and enjoy the scene.

Terry, the drive the husband took you on, the shot is manificent and so well done, his gesture is shining. miguel

Artist Reply: Thank you! It's as if I really went with him. He knows what would catch my eye. He's learning to use a nicer camera, so I have his shots at 5 megapixels each. Had to reduce them to upload. It made my day to have the shots e-mailed. He is still taking more, and will send me more, and on disk.
