Artist Reply: Thank you Gregory. Often children are surprized to see how I see them. This is one thing a painting can do that a photo may not. I can add in things to show them at their best, and warmth to highlight their best features.

Artist Reply: Thanks Timothy! This is a looser style than I usually do, but one he likes. He liked less defined looks, so, I did this one in that style. It had a good result for him.

Artist Reply: Thank you Nelly! He chose a loose, soft, pastle/chalk style for his. It worked out well for his portrait. I hope to teach him how to use some real pastels and chalks next year. I will be trying to set up an afterschool art club.
