We decided not to hike to Tolmie Peak Lookout last Friday, (above,left) and opted to have lunch at our favorite little beach on Eunice Lake. Usually there are people scattered all along the shoreline of this pristine alpine lake, but this spot at the base of the cliffs always is deserted....except for the bugs, lots of them. Here you can catch a glimspe of pica in the rocks...The first shot, my daughter is trying to get close (and did) to a couple of them. You can hear their occasional squeek in many different places. It's like they are trying to mess with your mind....Here, no, over here, no, over here.....
