Made this painting after a trip to Russia in 1990 to run the Moscow peace Marathon. Made additions after 9/11.It is an educational piece used in veteran programs that I take part in
Cousin Ronald May you rest in Peace. This is an incredible piece of work. Very thought provoking. Makes a person reach down into their souls and wonder what life is all about and why we must have leaders to lead us. I'm sorry I didn't get to see your work sooner. With much love, Debra Thomson SC
more important things than poloticians to paint, though the portraits are good, i'm not to sure about the choice of subject, a lot of work went into this i see
Artist Reply: All the portraits are icons for a more extensive historic study I am working on. I didn't do this just to paint political portraits but to make a complete study of all the ism's that are responsible for all the struggles and wars of humanity in my lifetime. It is an ongoing project.
