*phew* All right, this picture would NEVER have been possible if one of my mentors hadn't taken the time to show me how to watercolor. Mike's so incredible, he's the reason I've started on this new project and the entire reason why I was able to paint at all. I'm doing the painted lady as a full story, complete with illustrations. This is the first of the illustrations to go with the story, and the first of a series of watercolors from me. This is creation itself, when the goddess moved to spin life into being. I ... rather hope you guys like this. I'm very twitchy and nervous about moving into a different medium, but this feels very, very right. No I won't stop doing colored pencil works, at all... I just... I can't begin to express the freedom I felt while painting this. There wasn't tight control, there weren't any worries. I just threw on gorillaz and danced away while painting. Man it feels good to paint.
