The Glass Cat

Occasionally I like to do something non-figurative. These yellow roses were a nice compliment to a cobalt blue vase I had. I added the glass cat just for the fun of it...maybe got a little too clever with the title, but so what? Creating the various shading effects on the striped wallpaper was the most challenging part of this painting.

Wonderful contrast of warmth and cool tones. Truly creates the feeling of the warm sunlight coming through the unseen window. Increadible work. I so admire the quality and technique of the pastel artist. Wonderful gallery.
