I always enjoy painting anything white, from dresses, to draped material, to buildings, especially when bathed in early or late day sunlight. I kept the background dark and subdued to accentuate the negative spaces as well as the positive in this painting. I was also intrigued by the pose and what it says to viewers...I'd like your opinions as to what it says to you as well.
