well i think all the artists below are right, but i guess after freeing himself from the barb wire there is one more cage, to me its seems like an invisible WOMB around him, almost free but not completely.
Whar great lines and sense of imminent escape. The contrasts in your brushstrokes define the whole. I love the lights you've used to express the freedom awaiting.
This picture makes me FEEL the torture, very impressive and really powerful! I guess those days when you painted this, weren`t from your happiest ones, but it worth it ;) this painting is GREAT!
