When doing portrait commissions, I always stress to the customer the need to have the subject(s) in a setting that they're comfortable and familiar with. This way I can usually create a very natural looking work. This was a lot of work but the customer was elated with the end result.

I would bet your buyer was ecstatic Tom! The is goregous! I wish I had an image of my grandmother (God rest her soul) to enjoy and remember her with her flowers. She had a green thumb like no one else I've ever known. This looks like something she would have been doing. Excellent portrayal and details Tom!Anonymous Guest 25 Apr 2007
