Yesterday I posted a photo from Denny Creek taken in May of 2006. This photo is of the same creek in early September of the same year. In the spring we wouldn't be able to get down into this ravine because of the large volume of water from the rains and snowmelt. On this hike in late summer we dropped down off the trail to the creek and followed it upstream to our favorite lunch spot. Some places were pretty tricky to navigate and our boots did get wet, but it was a hot afternoon and the water was refreshing. We found another favorite lunch spot all to ourselves...not easy in the summer, as this is a very popular trail. The hike is not too difficult and the sights along the way are breathtaking!!!
