The quilt was inspired by the epoch of Russian avant-gardism so you can see Tatlins metal tower on the left and abstract elements of Candinskys paintings around the three ladies. The clothes of the Graces also reflect authors vision of the epoch: the ladies wear narrow dresses, fur boa, organza scarves and small hats. Cotton and silk fabrics are used here. A sleeve pocket is on the back for easy hanging.
